Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the WealthStart application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

WealthStart accounts are created by parents or legal guardians ("Parents") on behalf of children aged 10–19 ("Kids"). By creating an account you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old, or you are a minor using the Service with parental consent
• The information you provide during registration is accurate
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

Parents are responsible for monitoring their child's use of the Service and ensuring it is appropriate.

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment card is required to begin. If the trial ends without an upgrade, premium access is paused while the account and saved progress remain intact.

WealthStart offers a Monthly plan for $9.99 per month, an Annual plan for $79.99 per year, and a Family plan for $119.99 per year for up to five kid profiles. New trial accounts may also receive a limited monthly promotion: $1.99 is charged immediately, followed by up to 11 automatic monthly charges of $9.99. This promotion is cancel-anytime, makes no charge after month 12, and totals $111.88 if all 12 months are kept. The 14-day trial is card-free. After the trial, if you choose to upgrade, Square checkout clearly shows the selected amount and charges it today:

• You authorize us to charge your payment method for the selected plan
• The amount shown at Square checkout is charged today; the promotional $1.99 monthly offer has at most 11 further $9.99 monthly charges, while regular Monthly renews monthly and Annual/Family renew annually
• Monthly, Annual, and Family subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• New subscriptions and parent deposits are processed through Square; existing Stripe subscriptions remain supported through Stripe billing management
• We do not store your payment card details; Stripe or Square handles payment credentials for the applicable flow

Cancellation: You may stop using the card-free trial at any time; no payment is collected during the trial, and premium access pauses when the 14-day trial ends unless you upgrade. After upgrading, cancel through the applicable provider's billing management to stop future renewal; access continues through the provider-confirmed paid-through date. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

WealthStart is an educational platform. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The stock simulator uses virtual money only — no real money is invested through the simulator. Any investment strategies, lessons, or AI coach responses are for educational purposes only.

Before making real investment decisions, consult a licensed financial advisor. Past simulated performance is not indicative of future real results.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Submit false, misleading, or offensive content
• Share your account credentials with others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

All content in WealthStart — including lessons, missions, illustrations, and the animal companion system — is owned by WealthStart, Inc. and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WealthStart, Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
